DRESS CODE

The reputation of a school is based upon the behavior and appearance of its student body. Student dress should reflect the importance that education plays in his/her life. All students are expected to wear a mandatory Orr Academy uniform. The uniform colors are black, gold, white and khaki.

Students will receive two Orr  issued shirts and will be able to purchase more at our school store.
Students are responsible for the purchase of their own khaki pants and a black belt. Students are required to wear black or white shoes. Students are allowed to wear any school sponsored uniforms.

Students are not allowed to wear picks/combs in their hair or wear sunglasses or gloves, or any clothing that identifies them as a member of any non-school sponsored organization.

Hats, hoods, sweatbands, handkerchiefs, scarves or do-rags are not to be worn in the school building.  This rule applies to males and females. Students who wear hats (scarves, handkerchiefs, sweatbands, do-rags) to school are to place these items in their lockers upon arrival.  Students are not allowed to keep their hats with them during the school day.  Confiscated hats will be returned to the parents only.  Exceptions will be given by the principal or assistant principal to individual students if they are adhering to religious beliefs.

Violators of these rules are subject to disciplinary action.

Students with special needs or circumstances may receive an exemption to any part of this code from the administration upon special request.
